Bertram brings more than 20 years of experience in all facets of human resources management and labour relations — from executive leadership to shop floor level — across manufacturing, steel processing, engineering, FMCG, and mining sectors.
Bertram is a member of the South African Board of Personnel Practices as a Chartered HR Professional (Generalist), Reg. No. 6365. He is also an accredited and competent Skills Development Facilitator, Assessor, and Moderator under various SETAs, especially Meretas and Chieta.
His career spans a range of positions in human resources — from Technical Training Officer and HR Officer to Technical Development Officer, HR Manager, and Executive HR Manager. His most recent position before founding Nkwenkwezi was Executive HR Manager at Duferco Steel Processing (Pty) Ltd, a multinational manufacturer and processor of steel products.
Bertram also holds the position of Chairperson of the Board of Management of the Duferco Provident Fund and serves as a Trustee of the Board of Trustees of the MEIBC, MIBFA Provident, and Pension Funds. He is additionally a registered Commissioner of Oaths and Marriage Officer with the Department of Home Affairs.
At Duferco Steel Processing and other companies, he implemented numerous change management procedures, processes, and tools that enhanced business performance, contributed to lower absenteeism, and increased employee availability and engagement. While at Takata Petri, he was responsible for occupational health, safety, and human resources, as well as legal compliance — including disciplinary enquiry procedures, personal information documentation, induction (on- and offboarding) processes, and Skills Development and Employment Equity plans and reports.
Bertram represented Takata Petri at the Retail Motor Industry Organisation as an Executive Member and on the Mibco Labour Committee. He also represented the company at the Motor Industry Dispute Resolution Council (DRC) at conciliation and arbitration levels.
As a qualified artisan (Mechanical Fitter and Turner) with approximately 15 years of experience in heavy plant equipment and machinery, including mining, Bertram's technical background gives him a unique understanding of shop floor realities — a perspective that informs his HR and labour practice at every level.
He has excellent knowledge of the King Reports, pertaining to good corporate governance and legislative compliance.

Bianca holds a Bachelor's Degree in Administration from the University of the Western Cape and brings extensive, hands-on experience in the full spectrum of payroll, human resources, and recruitment across multiple industries.
Bianca's HR expertise covers the full payroll cycle, recruitment and selection, salary benchmarking, compensation and benefits management, annual statutory reports and submissions, and performance management. Her practical knowledge and meticulous attention to detail ensure that clients' payroll and HR administration functions operate accurately, compliantly, and efficiently.
Her career experience spans a diverse range of industries — from medical to mining — and she has held various positions ranging from HR Administrator to Senior HR Officer and HR Practitioner. This breadth of sector experience gives her a well-rounded understanding of the varying HR challenges and legislative requirements across different industries.
Bianca holds a formal certificate in payroll from Sage VIP and has excellent payroll management experience, giving clients confidence that their payroll function is in the hands of a qualified and practised professional.
As Member Director responsible for Payroll, HR, and Recruitment at Nkwenkwezi, Bianca plays a central role in ensuring that clients receive accurate, timely, and compliant people administration services — from the moment a candidate is recruited to their ongoing employment and remuneration management.
